Aground 1.0

Aground is a low poly side scrolling exploration game set after you have survived a plane crash on a desert island and you must hunt and scavenge and find items to survive you will also encounter some other characters but whether you choose to trust them or not is your decision.

When you talk about a game where one of its fundamental mechanics is crafting is always going to draw comparisons with the godfather of these games MineCraft and while of course there are similarities simplicity in both game play and graphics make Aground a charming and very enjoyable experience that is suitable for gamers of all ages.

The game is still being developed and although you can build up from nothing to a grand settlement you are limited at the moment to just your starter island but rumor has it that the developers plan to expand this and make larger islands to be explored.

However what we have at the moment is a very enjoyable game which while it may not be the most original game ever it is free and it is a lot of fun.

The tutorial at the beginning is very useful and it has well thought out and simple to use controls for movement, building, mining and storing your items meaning that it’s very easy to jump straight in and start creating your settlement.
