Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. There are a ton of flash game creators that got into the craze, with Games2Rule being one of many. Let's look at one of their games, Chinese Restaurant.
To play Chinese Restaurant, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
The first impressions aren't great. Games2Rule has a tendency to fill their games up with ads advertising their studio, which is understandable but still irritating. The graphics are beautiful, and more importantly, detailed and has each interactable object stand out.
The music and sound effects stand in stark contrast. The music is foreboding, but the sound effects sound like they come straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon. It feels incredibly jarring and detracts from the experience.
The gameplay is fairly simple. If you've played any restaurant management games, this is very similar to those. You take orders, prepare orders, and feed your customers.
All in all, if you're a fan of point-and-click games, then Chinese Restaurant is very worthy of your time. You won't regret your choice if you give this game a shot.
