The first Flash games were incredibly experimental, creating a surprising amount of unique ideas despite their incredibly limited budget and dev team. Some of those Flash games had ideas strong enough to stand tall on their own. One of them was the Henry Stickmin series. Just like the rest of the series, the gameplay itself is very simple - you just pick options and see how they play out. This is the first game where you have actual choices. It's not just a simple pass or fail choice anymore - some choices will simply alter the story. For instance, you can choose to leave someone behind and proceed on your own. That doesn't change the fact that most of your choices will still lead to failure, and that it's still where most of the entertainment comes from. This game is silly on purpose and revels in it. It's some surprisingly high-quality stuff, with voice acting and smooth animations.
