Warning: You need to have a program capable of running an SWF file to play this game. You can click here to find one such program right here on our website.
Flash games were like the wild west. During the time they were around, modern game design in and of itself wasn't fully fleshed out. Sure, there were a couple of soft rules, but experimentation was everywhere. Flash games were and are the most experimental games you can play around as they don't really care what's "right" and what's "wrong". GIRP is another fantastic example of that principle from the creator of QWOP.
To install GIRP, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
Playing the game is pretty easy to grasp. You play as a rock climber who apparently has had all the tendons and cartilage in his legs cut, and yet has to climb a wall to escape the rising waters. To climb the wall, simply press the letter of a handhold to reach out for it with the closest hand. To flex your arms and pull yourself up, you have to either left-click, press control, and press shift.
Of course, being from the creator of QWOP, it isn't as simple as that. You'll very easily find that your character can't reach the next handhold and have to unflex and reflex repeatedly in hopes that you can swing from your one hand far out enough to reach it. However, unlike QWOP, this game feels winnable from the beginning. You can see what's happening from the very beginning and know how to get to the end in theory - you just need to work at it.
If any of that sounds appealing to you, then you should definitely give GIRP a download.
