The Software Restriction Policies or "SRP" let administrators set rules on computers against software conflicts and various security threats. If you want, you can even create a highly restricted configuration for the PC that allows only certain users apps to be modified. The idea behind Hard_Configurator is that it lets you increase the levels of security of your system by managing what apps, services, and processes can run. In case you don't know what a certain value does, there's a Help button next to every single one of them, making it difficult to get lost.

It lets you make modifications to the SRP, including disabling or enabling Windows Defender PUA protection, Untrust Fonts, file execution from removable disks, PowerShell script execution to the Windows Script Host, and more. In addition, you can restrict folder execution, deny executions to directories, whitelist files in SRP by path or to force SmartScreen checks for files without "Mark of the Web".

In addition to all those changes, this program also lets you manage Windows Defender, a feat that usually would have you going through unintuitive menu after unintuitive menu.
