There are a couple of incredibly well-known figures in the online flash point-and-click escape room scene. One of them is Tesshi-E, who is known for simple, straightforward, but satisfying escape room games. Let's look at one of their games - Mild Escape 1 (remix).

To play Mild Escape 1 (remix), you have to unzip all the files into the folder you extracted the FPSoftware files to. Then, navigate to FPSoftware -> Basilisk-Portable -> Basilisk-Portable.exe. Afterward, drag the HTML onto the Basilisk browser.

There is an animated intro and the protagonist's thoughts are conveyed at the bottom of the screen as you play the game. A translator has given it proper grammar, and it's a great and fluid read now. You can also select what language you want to play in instead of just having both on the screen together.

The story is the same as the entry that it's remastering. You come across a strange door, knock, enter, and promptly find yourself locked in. It's a non-story that's basically just an excuse for you to solve puzzles.

This game has a special examine item button so you can zoom in and interact with an item in your inventory closely. This will prove essential as you try to escape from the room as there are some hints that can only be found by examining items closely. Other than that, just click on the sides of the screen to rotate the room, click on an item to zoom in and interact with it, and click the bottom of the screen to zoom back out.

All in all, Mild Escape 1 (remix) is a great game that really highlights how talented Tesshi-E is.
