Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. One creator, Hottategoya, became known for short, bite-sized escape room games. Let's look at a work of his - Mirror Escape.

To play Mirror Escape, just unzip the files into a folder and run main.swf.

This game has no story, which is completely fine, as the game is incredibly short. The setting takes place in a very simple office area with a mirrored floor. You need to grab objects and use them to get out.

Gameplay is very similar to practically every other Hottategoya game. You click on the sides of the screen to navigate around the screen, click on an object or door to zoom in on it and have to figure out how to solve a number of puzzles in the dining room to get out. If you know what to do, then you can finish this game incredibly quickly, with some speedruns taking just thirty seconds.

All in all, Mirror Escape is a great entry by Kotorinosu and really shows off the creator's strength in escape room game design.
