Photopad is very much like many other image editors, with a couple of extra features that make it more attractive. It incorporates a ton of features that come with a mobile image editor. This makes it incredibly lightweight in terms of resources, but it also has other tools. One example is that it allows you to directly post photos on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This allows you to download a picture from your phone and touch it up using this program and post it directly to social media, skipping a step.
Once you install this program and boot it up, you'll notice a few things. One is that the interface is somewhat outdated - as in, you can literally see the pixels on the icons in places. If you use the brush tool and zoom in, the fade effect has some very distinct pixelated appearances. There are a couple of other features, such as filters and contrast that are typically found only in paid image editors such as...you guessed it, Photoshop. That makes this program superior to the default Microsoft Paint (but what isn't, honestly?) and almost on par with other paid programs.
I also noticed a small amount of lag when loading and saving large files. Other than that, though, there are very few downsides to this program. There is some lack of features, but otherwise, it's a very solid program.
