Pokemon Apex is a more adult version of the Pokemon games everyone loves but covering much more adult themes such as divorce, love and friendship whilst still retaining the original battle style of Pokemon.
Your life is split between the real reality where you face real world problems such as growing up without a mother but you do have a very loving father however as normal the main character Griffen starts to wonder what it would have been like growing up with a mom and the other reality where you discover a much darker world full of Pokemon battles, but it does not take long for the two worlds to start merging together and soon you are having Pokemon battles in different locations.
The people you meet in the other world have plans in mind to destroy both worlds and soon it will be you who has to stop their heinous plans with the help of your Pokemon.
Pokemon Apex while still maintaining the feel of the original Pokemon games tackles some much more real world and deeper topics putting an adult spin on a classic game.
