It's not often you find a good free first person shooter game, however Sinister Sermon does its best to rectify that situation.
Starting out with a great looking introduction that you would expect to find in a AAA game rather than an independent game it seems very promising and although after the great intro it at times can feel a bit sparse and unfinished it's a great way of passing a few minutes or a couple of hours.
Starring the hero Dan Squarejaw you must take down the evil doctors lair which is filed with his weird little green monsters who start attacking from all sides, luckily you are prepared with a pistol and also a wrench to smack the monsters over the head with!
The game itself looks good and you can't really go wrong if you're looking for some mindless shoot 'em up fun, but it does have its issues, at times the pistol can be unresponsive which can leave you in some rather sticky situations especially if you are being attacked from all sides yet can't get a shot off. That flaw aside this is a fun game although it won't win any prizes for originality and we're still a little confused as to why it's called Sinister Sermon as there doesn't seem to be anything to do with holy men in it!
A fun game, you can download Sinister Sermon here for free.
