Street Driver is an independently made driving game by a fairly inexperienced developer known as Tritek Games and while it is in a very early alpha phase it definitely shows some promise, the actual design of the cars is realistic and the driving controls although in need of a few tweaks are pretty cool, especially enjoyable is performing handbrake turns.
Due to the game being in such an early phase there isn’t really much to do and although it’s supposedly online multiplayer I didn’t see anyone else on my travels through the open world, the open world also needs a lot of work there are some issues such as driving across grass and seeing it appear inside your vehicle, and there is not much background except grass and trees although there is the odd building here and there and a surprisingly well rendered river.
Another strange thing about Street Driver is there is no driver in your car and when you see it from the side angle it’s very strange to see the steering wheel move but with no one driving.
Although the game is in a very early development stage and definitely needs a lot of work to come up to the standards of other driving games however as it’s free we can’t complain too much.
