Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. One creator, Tesshi-E, became known for making a ton of short escape games. Let's look at one of their games - The Escape Hotel.

To play The Escape Hotel, you have to unzip all the files into the folder you extracted the FPSoftware files to. Then, navigate to FPSoftware -> Basilisk-Portable -> Basilisk-Portable.exe. Afterward, drag the HTML onto the Basilisk browser.

The story's very light, with only the protagonist's thoughts being conveyed in the bottom. Unfortunately, there's no English version for this game, so you won't be able to follow along if you aren't fluent. This entry returns more traditional escape game gameplay and is set in a beautiful, if somewhat bland, hotel room.

This game keeps the special examine item in your inventory button so you can zoom in and interact with the item closely. This will prove essential as you try to escape from the hotel room, as a couple of puzzle pieces and clues can only be gleaned from close inspection.

All in all, The Escape Hotel is another great entry by Tesshi-E and really shows off the creator's strength in escape room game design.
