Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Mateusz Skutnik is one of the best creators of the genre. Less known is that he's actually part of a team - Pastel Games - and that they assisted in many of his best-known games. He in turn has contributed to their work, with one of them being the Great Escape series. Let's look at The Great Attic Escape.
To play The Great Attic Escape, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
There's a sort of story arc in this game, but there's no real focus on it. Each entry takes place in a different part of a giant house, with this particular entry being set in the bedroom of the house. Once again, the game doesn't really give you a reason for why you're stuck in a massive house, but just hang in there, the series actually does address that. Once again, the location looks like a Saturday morning cartoon, with it contrasting nicely with the borderline eldritch feeling house.
Gameplay-wise, it's very similar to almost every other Pastel Games game. You have to assemble a ton of items around the living room to create something to get you out.
All in all, if you're a fan of Skutnik's work, you should definitely give The Great Attic Escape a download.
