The Joke of a Cruel Game is a very dark simulation game where you play as a game developer called David who is going through something of a crisis, his girlfriend has recently left him, he can’t get the bugs out of his game and money is getting short to non-existent, you must decide how to divide up David’s time and try to get the game completed without running yourself in to the ground.

Be warned a lot of this game is very dark and depressing and probably not something you want to play if you’re in a happy mood and perhaps not if you’re feeling down as it’s not going to help to improve your mood at all!

However The Joke of a Cruel Game is a very interesting and thought provoking game that definitely takes some influence from the static speaks my name but is not as fear inducing.

There are many items in David’s house including books and diaries which gives you more of an insight in to his life and the current mood that he is in, which is certainly not a fun one!

The game is very interesting and definitely different but do be warned before you go in to it that it is very dark and bleak and may not be suitable for everyone.
