It is customization and modding that allows for this to happen. In such a large game like Minecraft, customization is inevitable and a requirement in order for you to get the most out of the game. The Aether mod - or I should say mods - is one of the few that have really stood out. At the start of the Minecraft game, you may see one of two things: you may see a huge land of opportunity, or a big empty board not filled with anything. Most people see a little of both.

The Aether Mod II is a complete mod of Minecraft that takes to the skies of Minecraft. The Aether is a collection of floating plains in the skies. One can thing of it as the antipole of the Nether, which is a fiery realm that lies beneath the Minecraft world, whereas Aether floats above. A normal day in the Aether is the equivalent of three days on the surface. And even at night the Aether is quite peaceful.
