AirBrawl 1.0

Air Brawl is a flight simulator and air combat game. Anyone who has seen the film Top Gun I’m sure has dreamed of being a fighter pilot, well we all dreamed of being Maverick right, no one wants to be Goose, and not just because he has the worst nickname, a good flight sim is always exciting when it comes along and is done well, especially if it involves in air combat so the anticipation was strong for Air Brawl game.

However it’s fairly disappointing, the controls are over sensitive, the graphics are nothing to write home about although the colors are bright and vibrant , the weapon firing system seems slow and clunky and the battlefield area is small and difficult to stay within the confines of, perhaps my fingers are too fat, but I just could not get to grips with this game and that took away from my enjoyment as I was really hoping this would be a lot of fun, but after watching my plane burst in to flames for the 100^th time I was definitely feeling more Goose than Maverick, and Ice man was nowhere to be seen.

For the more skilled gamers out there perhaps you will gain more pleasure from this game than I did, if you can get to grips with the super sensitive controls then there probably is a fun game waiting to be discovered in this download.

Also there is no list of keyboard commands in the options menu as I thought perhaps this may resolve the sensitivity issues if I could use the keyboard rather than the mouse to control my plane but there were very few options, although there is a decent amount of planes and weapons to choose from that can be fitted to your plane.

One of the better features is it is very crisp and clear looking even if the graphics aren't the best you have ever seen the bright clear colors look good when you fly through a bright blue sky and the contrasting colors of the buildings.

You can also switch between inverted and not inverted to make flying easier depending on your preference.

Do bear in mind this is still the alpha demo and hopefully improvements have been made in the full version.
