Games nowadays are incredibly focused on twitch-based reactions and high octane combat. Even some of the most relaxing games have some surprise moments where you need to move quickly or die. There aren't enough games out there that just have you exploring a peaceful environment, free to play at whatever pace you'd like. Skye is one of those rare games.
To install Skye, make sure you have Steam installed. Once that's done, head on over to this link to install the game.
This game does have a story, but it's very much in the background. All you need to know is that you're a pilot in a trusty seaplane and you're out to explore the land with your plane. You can land on the water any time you want and visit the local port to pick up quests, and the environment is diverse enough that you can fly through rock arches and in between mountain peaks.
There are quests, as mentioned. They range from guiding ships to their destination, picking goods up, and of course, races. However, these aren't necessary at all, and you can simply explore and be distracted by collectibles should you so wish.
The graphics lean heavily into the idyllic feel of the game, as every frame of the game feels like a painting and looks incredibly relaxing. Overall, Skye is an incredibly relaxing game. If you just want to kick back after a day of work, then you should definitely give this game a download.
