There has been a recent trend in fiction where people take traditional fairy tales and add a dark twist on it. This is surprising, because fairy tales are already pretty dark if you think about it. One of the more popular fairy tales to twist is Alice in Wonderland, as the themes of madness and surrealism lends itself well to that. While there have been AAA games that do this, we're going to be looking at the Alice is Dead flash game series. Let's look at Alice is Dead: Episode 3.

The gameplay in the finale of the series is pretty much identical to the first two entries, with a couple of new things like the brand new phone button that will keep you updated. The entire game still operates on Wonderland logic and thus it makes the game fairly difficult to figure out. 

The tone and style is still intact, with its signature sense of dark humor and its fantastic production values that still hold up to this day.

It's a little unfortunate that the ending is abrupt, and ends up raising a few more questions than it answers. In this case, the short runtime finally caught up to it and can now be firmly marked down as a con. However, Alice is Dead: Episode 3 is still worth experiencing at least once along with its earlier entries.
