Survival horror games has had a couple of different eras in its design. There was the era where certain strong monsters came crashing out of nowhere and you had to defend yourself with firearms. Then, there was the era where you had to fend off a horde of enemies with firearms. Then there was the era where it was jumpscares galore and you couldn't defend yourself. Now, the era where there is a single strong monster stalking the darkness and you have to avoid it at all costs. Ash Asylum is part of the jump scares era.

To install Ash Asylum, simply unzip it and run the executable, and you're good to go.

This game follows the typical escape room storyline, where you find yourself in a locked room with no memory about how you got there. You need to escape - however, you can hear whispers constantly behind you and you get the feeling that you saw something with the corner of your eyes.

You have a sanity meter that acts like health. Sanity depletes every time a paranormal encounter takes place, so try to limit those by sticking close tho the light whenever you can. These encounters are also jump scares, as there are no set rules and they can pop up whenever you least expect them.

If you enjoy horror games, then you should give this short, but sweet game a shot. Ash Asylum is a solid horror experience that will leave on the edge of your seat 24/7.
