Hello Neighbor 1.0

Hello Neighbor pre-alpha demo is a horror stealth game where you take an unhealthy obsession in one of your neighbors who seems to be doing something untoward, the game’s style is very cartoon like, bright and happy, however don’t think that it doesn’t have the ability to scare you.

Of course curiosity will get the better of you and when the neighbor is not in view you will want to get in to his house and have a good old rummage around and see what is really going on, however you have to be very careful that the neighbor does not catch you and you will need to find places to hide, as I found running doesn’t seem to be much of an option and although the neighbor might not find you straight away if he’s seen you he will be making plans against you if he thinks that you are on to him.

The idea of Hello Neighbor has been around at least since last year but after a failed Kickstarter campaign it’s great to see that the full game will finally be arriving with us sometime in 2017 and based on this pre-alpha demo it looks as this is going to be something very different and very special.

The pre-alpha demo does kind of throw you straight in to the game without much instruction about the aims or objectives but you will soon work out not to go running straight in to your neighbor’s house without doing a decent amount of recon and taking things slowly so that he doesn’t see you.

The mechanics of the game are very intelligent and the neighbor will find different ways to try to get to you so be careful you don’t make any mistakes however you can use many different objects to your advantage and even turn the power to the street out to give you the protection of the cover of darkness, if you think it will help…
