Minecraft is a game with limitless potential. While people constantly push the boundaries with mods adding more and more gameplay features to the point where it can straight up turn into a strategy game or just flat out be a very functional MMORPG. However, there is a ton of things that can be done with vanilla Minecraft to this day. In fact, new things are still being added to Minecraft to this day. One of them is Burn in the Sun, a mod that lets you control which mobs to burn.
Installing Burn in the Sun is simple. Make sure you have Minecraft Forge installed, then navigate to your mods folder and drag it in.
This mod is very simple. You will need to know a bit about editing the config file located in the .minecraft folder. You can add any mobs you want by adding the command "minecraft:[mob name]" to the file. So, for example, if you want horses and sheep to burn, you'll need to add "minecraft:horse" and "minecraft:sheep" so they'll burn.
The most interesting thing this mod will give you is the ability to make players burn in the sunlight. This makes the game an incredibly interesting survival game where you scavenge at night and retreat during the day, the complete opposite of the usual gameplay loop.
That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to just how much this mod adds to the game. Burn in the Sun is a great mod that gives you more options and you should give it a shot if you're a Minecraft fan.
