Devotion demo is a short indie horror game that fills you with a sense of dread from the start to the finish. You play as young woman named Amanda who has received a mysterious letter from her dad who has been missing for 5 years, instructing her to go to the family hotel of her youth which is now deserted and run down. Although it’s not filled with jump scares there’s always feeling something may jump out at you at any time and something very disturbing about your exploration of the hotel and the finds that you make whilst wandering around the hotel all leading to suspenseful and equally creepy ending.
The game at times can feel a bit clunky such as having to move objects and although the graphics are really well detailed they could use a bit more polishing however on the whole Devotion is a great free horror game and should please horror aficionados and casual gamers looking for a scare alike.
The run time of the game from start to finish is around 15 minutes which isn’t bad at all for a free game and it’s definitely worth downloading if you want something creepy to play!
You can download the Devotion alpha demo here for free.
