RPG is an incredibly diverse genre of games. There are 2D Tactical RPGs like Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics, and then there are those epic 3rd person AAA titles like Skyrim or Dragon Age. Of course, with all the epicness in the genre, there's also an increasing demand for games that have you take the role of a simple normal person, as that's much more novel at this point. Donensbourgh is one of them.
Donensbourgh has no installation sequence - just unzip it wherever you want and run the executable. You'll notice on bootup that the graphics are actually a lot more impressive than most indie titles. The textures are mapped well and fairly high resolution. The only part that looks off are the people, but that's notoriously difficult to get right even in massively funded 3D movies.
The entire world is based on the late 13th century, and it feels very authentic. As such, there's no magic or fantasy creatures. In fact, there's no combat at all. You play as an ordinary peasant, and your only skills are crafting things, farming, fishing, and various other menial things like that.
Strangely, despite not very much happening, the experience is still very engaging as a whole. The constant progression with your character getting better and better at the tasks you do every day feels very rewarding, much like an idle Clicker RPG. If that sounds appealing to you in any way, then you should give Donensbourgh a download! It's a very unique experience.
