DVD shrink is a DVD utilities application that is used primarily to compress the size of your DVD's and videos so that they will be smaller in size for backup purposes. It has the standard pause, play, and skip buttons, a slider to seek through a DVD, and a volume slider. The DVD player's interface isn't quite the best, but you do have the option to launch the fullscreen viewing mode which will make you forget about the standard experience.

Probably one of the most used - or first used - functions of DVD Shrink, is its DVD/video converter. You can convert a DVD or video file to almost any video format you can think of. You can also convert DVDs and video files for playback on mobile devices such as an iPod, Zune, Android, and even the PSP handheld gaming device. Some of the other formats include, AVI, FLV, QuickTime, and MPEG4 video. The converter also allows you yo adjust the desired quality of the converted file. This is great for users who wish to save space by lowering the quality of the video or for users who have devices that only support 720p or lower video resolution - there's no point in playing a file with a higher resolution than your device allows.
