Sonic fan games are some of the strangest beasts out there. During its most popular era, there was a ton of fan content, most of which are shoddily made or incredibly "edgy". The Final Fantasy Sonic X series is no stranger to any of these fan content tropes. In fact, it might seem like one of the worst offenders of it. However, like the other prolific Sonic RPG Flash series, it improves dramatically as the developer gains experience. Let's look at Final Fantasy Sonic X: Episode 6.
To play Final Fantasy Sonic X: Episode 6, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
Once again, the presentation of the series has improved dramatically. The animation is smoother than ever and, for the first time in the series, there is now voice acting. It's actually fairly high quality too, especially for the time. The battle UI is the most appealing it's ever been, and the battle itself is well balanced and tactical.
The story is also surprisingly interesting, despite retconning some minor events from the last entry. The closing shot of the episode has a surprising twist, which is somewhat disappointing considering the seventh episode still isn't out.
Still, the quality of Final Fantasy Sonic X: Episode 6 itself makes it worth playing. As far as Sonic fan games go, this is definitely one of the higher quality ones.
