Find it 1.0

DOOM is one of the oldest FPSes in existence, and its engine is famously so robust that it can run on pretty much anything and also create pretty much anything.  From FPSes to RPGs to companions to a city living game, it has a ton of different mods and maps that can all do different things. But before all that, there were the humble WADs, just maps that had different characteristics based on which author made them. One of them is Find it.

To install Find it, you need to have GZDoom and move the WAD file into the GZDoom folder, which is pretty par for the course for DOOM maps.

This is a very simple WAD. You're in a square room with a smattering of crates, and there are a bunch of end-game demons coming right for you. There is a voice clip saying "warmer", "colder", "hot", and "You must be freezing your ass off" as you move around. Of course, you need to use these voice lines to track down a certain crate...all while avoiding the massive blockade of demons in your way. Once you find the object you're looking for - a key - then you instantly win the level.

As far as proof of concepts go, this is a very cool map. The audio cues themselves are incredibly unique and to this day, not a whole lot of DOOM wads do that.

All in all, Find it is a fantastic map and is a great look into the past.
