I Was Here is a short narrative game giving you a sneaky look in the life of a university student and everything that goes with it, as you look around the dorm-room you can touch objects and items and the narrator (who is also one of the rooms inhabitants) will give you more information from their perspective as to what is going on the dorm room, and talk as if discussing things with her roommate.
The game looks good and it’s a pretty fun way to pass a few minutes however there was a rather confusing part where if you pick up some shoes the narrator says let’s go on an adventure, but there is no door to leave from and as far as we are aware it is not possible but we ended up spending a lot of time just wandering round looking for a non-existent exit to the dorm and halls.
That aside I Was Here is a very promising first project from these young developers and although it only has a run time of around 10 minutes it’s good to see the amount of detail that has gone in to this, sadly it’s also quite easy to become bored with no real objectives or sense of peril to the game.
