Sandbox games are on the rise in the past decade, thanks to Minecraft's jaw-dropping success. Now, you can barely go a couple days without seeing a sandbox survival game popping up somewhere on the internet. However, not many of them are multiplayer heavy. One of the few that are is Pixel Worlds, an MMO based on creating worlds.
To install Pixel Worlds, make sure you have Steam installed. Then, go to this link to download the game.
One thing to get out of the way - this game isn't exactly revolutionary. It doesn't have any original ideas in terms of gameplay and it openly copies things from the likes of Terraria and Growtopia. It's very difficult to play this game without feeling like you've played this before.
Almost every session lets you create a random world, but this isn't actually as exciting as it sounds, since practically every world starts off flat and devoid of any structure. The only difference is the block composition, but the worlds are too small for this to matter much. Most of your time is spent breaking blocks and collecting resources to craft tools, items, clothes, and building blocks.
You can also find seeds that can be planted, and they can be sprouted into trees that provide you a variety of blocks, items, or even clothing. It doesn't make sense, but it's a good gameplay feature. All in all, Pixel Charm lacks enough to keep you playing for a long time, but it is fun in short bursts.
