There's a secret about benchmarking programs that most don't know about. While most benchmarking programs do push your computer to its limits, the tests they run to do so aren't practical. What I mean by that is they utilize processes that you wouldn't use in normal everyday usage, making the benchmark relatively pointless in terms of finding out what your computer's health realistically is.
Realbench is different. It pushes your computer to the brink, but it does so in ways that realistically happen in day to day usage. For example, it runs GIMP plugins to push your GPU to the brink. GIMP plugins, for those not aware, are commonly used as an alternative to photoshop. It also uses Handbrake to convert videos, which is a commonly used tool for Mac users.
Realbench doesn't run incredibly lengthy tests that borderline freezes your computer for these reasons. Those real-life applications and their components are commonly used. This gives you a more accurate summary of your PC's performance.
The stress test is almost infamous among the benchmarking community for how intense it is. It effectively ignores the limits of your computer and pushes it far beyond. This makes it very effective at testing your PC's stability after overclocking or testing the long term durability of your computer. It tests your computer's ability to rigorously multitask in every single area of hardware except for the HDD/SDD. In the end, you are given a score on your configuration, which you can share in a pseudo-competition the website runs constantly to see where you rank.
Realbench is a great benchmarking software for any user. The only downside is the massive download size - keep that in mind.
