Low budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to create an epic, the creators instead need to focus on one unique feature to make their games stick out. From these restrictions come some truly inventive concepts. One of them is A Mirage of Home, which is a horror game with a unique twist on the ol' "cameras can see ghosts" trope by making it so the camera is stuck in selfie mode.
To play Out of Sight, simply run the executable after unzipping it to a folder.
The plot is...incredibly strange. Your mother has spilled all the soup she was cooking and you need to go out and get more ingredients for a new batch. The ingreidents are located in three different village, and the landscape is fileld with a ton of strange and deadly monsters, which include demonic geese, sand monsters that are burrowed underground, and some knights on invisible bikes.
It's tough to survive, but very doable. This game is very tongue-in-cheek but it's a very fun game. The movement is fast, fluid, and harken back to games like TRIBE, the monster designs are engaging, the gun feels fantastic and there's a ton of little details if you go off the beaten path and talk to some NPCs.
All in all, if you want to play a game with an incredibly unique premise, then you should give Out of Sight a download.
