Angry Birds was one of the first games to really take off on the mobile market. It had some incredibly solid mechanics, beautiful graphics at the time, and a gameplay loop that constantly rewards the player for being good. It codified many of the game mechanics that are popular amongst mobile games to this day. Well, you can finally create some of your own levels for Angry Birds. Introducing Angry Birds Open-Level Editor.
To install Angry Birds Open-Level Editor, simply run the installer and you're good to go. Do note that you shouldn't skip any of the extra tools it installs, as they're critical for the game running optimally. Once launched, the interface consists of a complicated looking table where you can add, edit, or delete various items in your level. You can choose between all the typical items you commonly find in an Angry Birds level like all the pigs and the birds, along with all the walls and all the different materials.
You can add an item from the drop down menu, specifying a name and ID, and setting a position for it. To check your progress, you can constantly access the preview window, which will show you what your current level looks like. Since you can decide exactly where each item is in the level, this gives it a different feel than official Angry Birds levels.
All in all, Angry Birds Open-Level Editor does exactly what it says it does and is almost a must-have for fans of the franchise.
