Freja and the False Prophecy 1.0

Freja and the False Prophecy is a metroidvania style side scrolling adventure game which is inspired by Norse mythology, where you play as the title character Freja on her journey through varying landscapes and overcoming obstacles and enemies using skills such as jumping and becoming a master of your weapon.

The hand drawn art looks fantastic and this mixed with the fun fighting and non-stop action makes for a great game, although this is only a demo you get a good idea of how good the full game could be, even the introduction is a fantastic piece of work , the leaps and slashes as you make your way through the levels look great.

If Freja and the False Prophecy has any flaw it is the under sensitivity of the controls if using a keyboard, often when trying to double jump the second tap won't register and can lead to you often falling down large holes on landing on spikes and having to repeatedly attempt certain parts of the game can often lead to frustration especially when you do make these moves successfully and it looks so nice.

Clunky controls aside this is a really promising game with some gorgeous art work and is definitely worth checking out.
