To play Gunborg, simply unzip the files and run the executable.
Right now, the game only has only three levels, it's a very polished experience with incredibly responsive controls, incredibly fluid animations, and a catchy soundtrack. The game gives you a plasma sword and a shield to start with, but you can ditch the plasma sword whenever you want and grab any weapons from enemies you've downed. The shield will let you deflect the bullets back at the enemy, but won't protect from attacks that come from behind.
The movement options are simple but fun, with the wall jump adding a tiny bit more options. It's not so much how many things you can do, but more how it feels. The physics of your jump are finely tuned enough for you to know exactly where you're going and affords you full control over your character.
There are two boss fights throughout the game, and these will test whatever skills you picked up throughout the levels. If you're a fan of 2D platformer action games are your thing, you should definitely give Gunborg a shot. It could be the next big thing once it releases for real.
