Hawkwing 1.0

Hawkwing demo is a classic throwback to arcade games of the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, it is a side scrolling shoot ‘em up set in space so there is nothing particularly original however it does perfectly encapsulate pure and simple fun of classic arcade games which is exactly what the game sets out to do and has perfectly achieved that. The graphics look really good in their retro style and the game is fast paced and soon becomes bullet hell action!

This only the first level and the game is still in development at the moment however due to it becoming quite difficult and fast paced very quickly it should take you a while to get through just the first level of Hawkwing.

The game also has some nice sounds adding to the retro atmosphere and a poppy soundtrack which help add to the overall experience. Had this been released twenty years ago it would have been an instant classic and for those of you looking for something with a feeling of classic games gone by then you should be enthralled with this.
