Despite numerous quality of life improvements made to Windows 8 and 10, the command prompt has oddly not been touched. It's likely because of how few users actually use the command prompt for anything other than small tweaks. However, it still has a ton of value, and the reason most don't use it is because of how complicated the commands can get. Luckily, there's a program out there that applies simple inputs to complicated commands - Lazy Type.
Installing Lazy Type is simple - just run the setup and click next repeatedly. There aren't any complex steps or attempted third party app installations. The program is based off of Electron, which makes it look incredibly good right off the bat. It even works with executables and app. Namely, you can use aliases to run a variety of programs directly from the command line. The application can be deployed very easily. Upon first opening the app, an automatic configuration wizard will run, at the end of which you will be forced to restart the app to properly start using it.
It feels and looks like a modern app. The interface is designed with attention given to simplicity and accessibility. From the main window, you can either point a command directly to an existing command or to an executable file. That lets you do the thing the program was meant for - simplyifying long sequences.
In short, Lazy Type is a very useful little program that will come in handy to those few people who rely on bulky sytem commands for their job.
