NBA Live 2003

A part of the EA Sports group of video games, this is the 2003 release of the NBA Live series, which features all of the NBA franchises that were currently in action back in 2003. This is the first EA Sports video game that features a full soundtrack that was the first video game soundtrack in history to be Certified Platinum by the RIAA. The game release for both consoles and the PC and the cover of the game features NBA star Jason Kidd of the New Jersey Nets. 

Whether you're a fan of an NBA team, a fan of basketball in general, or just like playing sports games - the gameplay in NBA Live will probably tend to your expectations with easy to remember controls and appealing graphics. While the graphics are, indeed, dated as of the time of this review - they are pretty good for the time of the release of the game and was one of the things that made EA Sports video games so appealing at the time. 

All of the NBA teams that were a part of the 2002 NBA season are registered in the game and able to be played - with all of the professional players that you would expect according to their skill levels, while teams are also rated based on their difficulty based on the real life players on their teams. There are also variations of classic players and inspirations of past NBA teams that are sorted by decaded - for example, 50's All-Stars, 60's All-Stars ... all the way up to the 90's so you can find the players that inspired modern players of the NBA and highlight their importance in the history of American basketball.
