However, China's been relatively behind in terms of game creation and other countries tend to play it safe in terms of settings. Therefore, there are precious few games based on Chinese mythology out there. Perfect World International is one of them.

This game was known as one of the best looking back in its day, and it still holds up relatively well thanks to a strong art direction and vivid environments. Character creation is also fantastic, letting you change every bit of your character. You can create a bobble-head character that looks like he's straight out of a cartoon to a pinhead character that has its head barely noticeable.

Every character in this world also apparently has fantastic acrobatic moves. They put a lot of effort into making jumping fun, even if it's relatively useless - you can pull off some sweet flips and double jump whenever you want for fun.

This game also features 80v80 territory control PvP battles, making it some of the most awe-inspiring battles in free to play MMOs around. The only downside is this game has an unfortunately dated interface, a relic of its time. If you can look past that, then Perfect World International is one of the more solid Asian MMORPGs out there.
