Even though the mouse cursor is such an important part of you using a computer, few people really actually acknowledge it. To them and probably you, you don't think about it unless you can't find it on your screen. In those times, you'll find that it's actually incredibly difficult to locate amongst everything else on your screen. Thankfully, someone decided to actually tackle that problem and created ShowMouse.

To install ShowMouse, simply run the executable and you're good to go.

This is a very lightweight program designed for only one purpose - to highlight the mouse cursor on the desktop. The program is as minimalistic as possible and doesn't even come with an interface, which is fair considering its nature. Once you open it, the tool will display a small ripple effect whenever you click the mouse, regardless of the button you press. A nice touch is that every time you click, the ripples will have a different color, whereas the effect is toggling between exploding and imploding.

One of the more confusion exclusions of this program is that it doesn't come with settings that allow the user to select the color and effect, particularly since this tool seems like it's supposed to be used in presentations and tutorials. Without denying that most would have a white or light colored background, many would prefer that the colors are dark in color.

Overall, ShowMouse does exactly one thing and does it well. If it sounds like something you need, then you should give it a download!
