Slick Ruff Justice 1.0

Slick Ruff Justice is a super cool, incredibly fast paced, 80’s retro style top down shooter created by students at a media design school and they’ve done a fantastic job here, the story line is something along the lines of having to find a special medicine in a very violent city run by tiger people (well all the characters are people/animals of some kind)  and there is quite a lot of story parts, you also have to interact with some non-playable characters to progress the story and obtain information but it’s not the story that make Slick Ruff Justice it’s all about the shooting and firing your way past all the enemies with your twin guns blazing, if you collect enough of the slick pill from which the game takes its name you can also go in to a bullet time mode which will change the view in to the third person and slow time down giving a very Matrix style feel.

It didn’t take a few minutes in to the game until it’s obvious how great it is and it certainly doesn’t feel like you’re playing a free game, it’s so polished and so much fun that it feels like something you definitely should have paid for.

The only flaw here is being slowed up with the non-playable characters and continuing story line when all you want to do is blast your way through enemies and you may think that could become repetitive but it really never does.
