The Ferryman 1.0

Low budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to create an epic, the creators instead need to focus on one unique feature to make their games stick out. From these restrictions come some truly inventive concepts. One of them is The Ferryman, which is a unique horror game where you play as a ferryman who has to deliver supplies amidst an apocalyptic world filled with eldritch horrors.

To play The Ferryman, simply run the executable after unzipping it to a folder.

You're dropped into the action immediately, and the setting has to be pieced together through conversations you have with the various lighthouse keepers you deliver supplies to. The world is infected by a plague, of which you are no exception, and eldritch horrors infest the waters. Many of the keepers you speak with are varying degrees of insane and some seem oddly monstrous. 

The gameplay itself is simple. You sail a ship. During your journey, your ship may be visited by monsters. Some monsters are friendly, like Sirens who will give you items, but most are out to get you. You need to run and climb between the decks of your ships and fix the various leaks the monsters cause to not sink and die. There is an ending to the game as it is right now, but it's little more than you just turning in for the day.
