The free antivirus market is filled with application that do pretty much the same thing and many of them look almost to the point of being identical. They all do what we have come to expect from free antivirus software. They protect against the basic attacks from malware, spyware, and adware. Note: Do not let application's relatively small filesize fool you. Upon installation of the program, it will connect to a remote server and download the remaining installation files for the firewall and identity and data protection. It does not download the antivirus automatically; however you are able to download it at anytime by clicking the install button located inside of the antivirus window in the application. It may take a little bit longer to download the antivirus as it is a much larger file than the firewall, but be sure to do so or you will not have access to full Zone Alarm Firewall experience.
