Minecraft is an endless font of possibilities, with there being maps created ever day that push the boundary of what you can do with the game. There are story-driven fantasy maps, massive open-world sci-fi maps and many others. One popular subgenre of Minecraft maps are Horror games. One of the better ones is Asleep.
Installing Asleep is simple and straightforward - just put it into your map folder and run it when you open the game.
The main feature of this particular map has is its story. Unlike many other maps, there is a storyline that you experience. However, at times, it does feel like its little more than an excuse to link together a ton of disparate maps together. That doesn't mean that it's any worse, however. Each of these disparate maps feature its own puzzles and gimmick. For instance, there's a map where you're a patron and play through a ton of different arcade games to progress.
In another, you're in a spaceship, where everybody disappears as soon as you turn away. And yet another map is based on platforming, where you platform around in the void. And yet another one has you falling straight to hell and desperately trying to survive.
The massively differing styles of these maps give you a ton of entertainment. If you want to experience a series of atmospheric maps that can give you the chills, you should definitely give Asleep a download. It is definitely one of the more unique experiences available in this game.
