Low budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to create an epic, the creators instead need to focus on one unique feature to make their games stick out. From these restrictions come some truly inventive concepts. One of them is Game Found, which is about a shadow monster stalking you at night.
To play Game Found, simply run the executable after unzipping it to a folder.
The game starts up with the main character falling asleep on the couch after playing an incredibly creepy video game. It turns out that the video game was cursed. It was found at a murder scene in Dark Alleyway Street, Spooky Town. That setup really sets the tone for the game to being a black comedy rather than a real horror game, although it's still incredibly unnerving.
You're being stalked by a shadow creature in a house at night, which is incredibly paranoia inducing. After a few encounters with the creature, you'll start peering closely at every single shaded area in your house which, being a house with very poor lighting, is abundant.
However, the tone takes a sharp turn towards the end of the story. While I won't spoil it all, it is so out of nowhere and gives such a tonal whiplash that you may find yourself incredibly confused by the end.
All in all, if you want to play a game with an incredibly unique premise, then you should give Game Found a download.
