Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. Let's take a look at one of the most surprisingly great point and click Flash series out there - Submachine. Specifically, Submachine 4: The Lab.
To play Submachine 4: The Lab, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
This game feels like a culmination of the series up until that point. You will visit a ton of locations that resemble areas from the previous entries. It feels fitting, because this was the entry where the creator said that all the questions will be answered with this entry. It didn't end up happening, of course, because...well, there's six more entries, but it does answer a lot.
The locations are very varied. You'll start off on a nondescript rooftop, and go through other locations such as a ship, a lighthouse, an underground tomb, and more.
This game has a ton of different secrets for you to find while you're exploring through all of the different maps. You'll probably need a walkthrough or help of some kind, as some of these secrets aren't intuitive to find at all.
All in all, however, Submachine 4: The Lab is a very well put together point and click game.
