Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. Let's take a look at one of the most surprisingly great point and click Flash series out there - Submachine. Specifically, Submachine 8: The Plan.

The premise will send your head reeling. You have to hop through multiple dimensions of the worlds because Murtaugh created portals within portals. Each of these dimensions has their own unique look, with some looking familiar because they're locations from previous episodes. The story has also evolved, with there being even more being added to the mythos than ever before.

Gameplay is something you should be familiar with now - it's one of the few things that the series has kept steady. You still click to move, click to pick up items, and use items to progress in certain puzzles. The hardest part about the gameplay is simply finding the right places to click as some of the triggers are incredibly small.

All in all, if you've played the previous episodes, you really should keep going with Submachine 8: The Plan. It's pretty hard to believe that people had to wait almost two years back in the day for this.
