The computer registry is a database in the Windows OS that stores low-level settings. As you continue using your computer, the operating system will naturally begin generating useless and invalid entries that no longer reference to any files on disk. This is most common after deleting or uninstalling files. These entries will, over time, slow down your computer by clogging up the registry. You'll need a third-party program to automatically scan and clean out these useless entries, and Registry Life is one of them.
The installation procedure for Registry Life is pretty straightforward, but there are a couple of options that are unneeded that you'll want to keep an eye out for. When you boot the program up, you'll notice that it has a clean and simple interface. It comes with two functions - "Registry Cleanup" and "Registry Optimization".
In the settings, you can select the registry parts that you want the program to check. You can also set startup items, file type associations, shared libraries, new files and an Internet Explorer context menu. It can also look into application data, the MUI cache, registered applications, user-wide application settings, and more.
This is all in addition to the scanning process, which is thorough and works quickly. It will show you the total number of problems in the registry and show you a detailed report. Once you've looked through, you can fix everything with a quick click. Registry Life comes with a wide variety of features for a registry cleaner and still does its main job well.
