Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. Mateusz Skutnik is one of the best creators of the genre. However, he's been known to branch out occasionally, and he loves using his yearly series to experiment. That's how we got Where is 2014?
To play Where is 2014?, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
This game takes after the Submachine series the most, with beautiful illustrations that are incredibly detailed while also being incredibly vague and mildly creepy. The goal of this particular game is to literally ring in the holiday by finding out where the New Year is hiding.
The gameplay is pretty straightforward, you just simply click on any area that your cursor changes shape on, and keep clicking until you eventually figure out what the puzzle is. It's not immediately apparent what you're trying to do because of just how cluttered the screen is, but once you do figure it out, you'll likely finish the game incredibly quickly because of how short the game is.
If you're a veteran of point-and-click games, you should definitely give Where is 2014? a try.
