Low budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to create an epic, the creators instead need to focus on one unique feature to make their games stick out. From these restrictions come some truly inventive concepts. One of them is The Zebra Man, which is about a man in a zebra mask who goes on a massive rampage after being experimented on.
To play The Zebra Man, simply run the executable after unzipping it to a folder.
The game focuses on an unwilling test subject who's being experimented on by an unidentified organization. He escapes, and starts going on a rampage.
The gameplay is inspired very much by Hotline Miami. Your character can kill everybody else in a single attack but is relatively fragile. You need to find the correct path to take out the enemies or else they'll swarm you and overwhelm you.
There's a couple of differences from its inspiration, though. You can take three hits before dying, there are very few weapons, and if you kill five enemies in a row without being hit, you gain invincibility and more speed. So there's a contrast between when you have to carefully time your punches to kill your enemies and when you're invincible and clearing out a group of enemies in a flash.
All in all, if you want to play a game with an incredibly unique premise, then you should give The Zebra Man a download.
